I’m excited to announce production on a new web series about lottery winners!
Winning the lottery is one of the most powerful, yet rare things that can possibly happen to a person. I know from experience; I actually won the Powerball in 1999. The win fortuitously changed my life in ways I could never have imagined, both for the better and some for the worse. It’s been like being strapped into a roller coaster that never stops. After winning the lottery, I went back to college to study film and journalism. I earned a degree in Broadcast News before producing films, whereby I’ve interviewed quite a few people on camera. I’m now combining my experience in journalism and film with my desire to interview other lottery winners.
This upcoming web series is not about me; I’m genuinely curious how the lottery is changing the lives of other people. Sure, I’m interested in how people spend their winnings, but more importantly, I want this to be real. How is it changing lives? I know the depth to which it can drastically alter everything. Your world can be turned on its head. It runs much deeper than what we typically see covered in our mainstream media. There are so many intriguing and rare consequences that can come as a result of a lottery win.
You have a better chance of being struck by lightning or even crushed by a meteor than that of winning a lottery jackpot. However, someone inevitably always wins.
