1) There is a lucky store in Massachusetts that has sold multiple million-dollar lottery tickets in May and June of 2022. A woman won $1 million dollars on a Mega Millions ticket on June 3rd. Two instant tickets were also sold for $1 million each. And then again, on June 15th, a fourth winning lottery ticket for the Lucky for Life game was sold! Luck seems to be in the air at this store. If you live in Massachusetts, you might want to get a ticket!
2) A lottery winner was recently sentenced to life in prison for killing his lover. This comes after winning $10 million from the lottery in 2017. In May of 2022, he was found guilty for killing a woman who he had a romantic relationship with for 18 months. It took the jury 1 hour of deliberation to determine the prison sentence.
3) In May of 2022, a Virginia man won $5 million dollars from the lottery. He won from a $30, $5,000,000 Ultimate game. Upon winning, he called his wife who told him to “get home safely.” He added that “my hands were shaking.”
4) A woman won $236,400 from the Virginia lottery before running outside in her pajamas. She purchased 54 tickets from the Pick 4 game in the Virginia lottery. She’s quoted as saying, “I jumped up. I ran outside in my pajamas to tell my daughter!” she told lottery officials. “I was so excited!”
5) In Lansing, Michigan, a woman recently won $4 million dollars on a scratch ticket after the suggestion of a stranger. She’s quoted as saying, “My husband and I stopped to get gas and went into the gas station to pay. While we were in line, someone in the store came up to us and said: ‘You should purchase a $30 Lottery ticket, I bet you will win $4 million. We thought about it for a moment and then decided to purchase an Ultimate Millions ticket.” The 54-year-old woman who chose to remain anonymous then won $4 million!
6) A Virginia woman threw her lottery ticket in the trash before realizing that it was worth $110,000 dollars! “I just don’t think people are just lucky,” she said. “I think that if God’s got something for you, he’s going to see that you get it.”
7) A couple in the UK won $184 million from EuroMillions in May of 2022. It’s the largest EuroMillions jackpot ever in the UK. The woman revealed that her father was a life-long National Lottery player. Before he died, he “would always ask us what we’d do when we won. It was a regular conversation and I feel like he was preparing us,” she said. She went on to explain that she felt chilled as she’s felt ready to win for years. The man also explained that when he started seeing the numbers, “it was amazing, but surreal.”
